Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the acting governor of Ondo State, is set to take the oath as the state’s official governor today. This transition comes after the passing of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu in Germany. Sources in Akure indicate that Aiyedatiwa’s swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for 4pm today.
A reliable source at the state House of Assembly said that ” it’s true that the acting governor would be sworn in today by 4pm.
” He is presently out of the state and as soon as he’s back in the state, the Chief Judge of the state , Justice Olusegun Odusola, would swear him in as the governor of the state.
Mrs. Bamidele Ademola-Olateju, the Commissioner for State Information and Orientation, conveyed the governor’s passing through a statement released in Akure.
