The Lagos State Police Command announced on Thursday that two siblings met their demise by drowning at Ibeshe Beach on Christmas Day.
According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the Command’s spokesperson, the incident was reported to the police after occurring around 6 p.m. while the brothers were swimming with friends.
Identified as Adegboyega brothers, aged 26 and 23, residents of Festac Town, all rescue efforts by their friends and local divers were unsuccessful. Detectives visited the scene, local divers were tasked to find the bodies, and the family was notified of the tragic incident.
