On Friday, Carlo Ancelotti extended his contract with Real Madrid until June 2026, thereby eliminating the possibility of him taking on the role of Brazil’s national coach.
“Real Madrid and Carlo Ancelotti have reached agreement on the extension of his contract till June 30, 2026,” Real said in a statement.
Earlier reports in July suggested that the 64-year-old Ancelotti, upon completing his current contract with Real next year, would become the first foreigner to manage Brazil in 60 years.
