NLNG Delivers Three LPG Cargoes To Local Market In December

The Nigerian Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) has successfully delivered three Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cargoes to the local market this month to stabilize prices and ensure consistent supplies. Andy Odeh, NLNG’s General Manager for External Relations and Sustainable Development, confirmed this in a statement to reporters in Lagos.

Odeh highlighted that these deliveries play a pivotal role in maintaining a steady LPG supply to meet market demands, especially during the December holiday season. He attributed the decrease in LPG prices partly to the removal of Value Added Tax (VAT) on imports and a seasonal reduction in demand due to the holidays.

Emphasizing NLNG’s commitment to pricing based on the West Africa index price, Odeh clarified that despite market influences, NLNG’s pricing basis remains unchanged.

“NLNG remains committed to supplying 100 per cent of its LPG to the domestic market.

“Regular supplies from other sources within Nigeria and also from imports will help in moderating prices,”he added.
