Hugo Lloris, the captain of France’s World Cup-winning team, is set to join Los Angeles FC in the MLS after parting ways with Tottenham, according to a source involved in the negotiations.
Lloris, who has been with Tottenham since 2012 and led the Premier League club for eight years, is anticipated to receive a warm farewell from Spurs supporters during Sunday’s match against Bournemouth.
At 37 years old, Lloris served as France’s primary goalkeeper during their victorious 2018 World Cup campaign against Croatia in the final and also participated in the memorable 2022 final, where France lost to Argentina in a penalty shootout.
Lloris faced a decline in his standing at Tottenham last season due to a string of subpar performances.
