Hon. Spencer O. Okpoye, the Commissioner representing the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality on the Board of the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), on Monday echoes a motivational call as the new year, 2024, begins. Okpoye emphasises the transformative power of unity and a positive mindset, urging Deltans to embrace hope and determination for a brighter tomorrow.
Acknowledging DESOPADEC’s pivotal role, Okpoye highlights its tailored initiatives aimed at addressing the specific needs of Ijaw Oil producing Communities and the larger Delta State Oil-bearing communities. He underscores the agency’s commitment to uplifting these areas through impactful interventions.
With commendation for the visionary leadership of Chairman Chief Barr. John Obukowho Nani, Managing Director/CEO Chief Festus Ochonogor, and the supportive governance of H.E. Rt. Hon. Elder Sheriff F.O. Oborivwori, Okpoye expresses confidence in DESOPADEC’s significant contributions towards progress and development within the mandate areas.
He emphasises Governor Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E. agenda, emphasising sustainable development as an opportunity for a prosperous future.
