The 2023 AFCON Super Eagles camp, gearing up for the tournament in Cote d’Ivoire, has officially commenced with 17 players gathering in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The team shared this update via their official X handle on Wednesday.
Currently in camp are Ahmed Musa, Alex Iwobi, Victor Boniface, Kenneth Omeruo, Moses Simon, Leke Ojo, Ola Aina, Semi Ajayi, Calvin Bassey, Ademola Lookman, Joe Aribo, Frank Onyeka, Bruno Onyemaechi, Zaidu Sanusi, Chidozie Awaziem, Bright Osayi Samuel, and Raphael Onyedika.
Their first training session is scheduled for this evening, and more players like Osimhen and Chukwueze are expected to join in the coming days. Nigeria’s opening match will be against Equatorial Guinea on Sunday, January 14.
