Other notable nominees include Lionel Messi from Inter Miami, Erling Haaland from Manchester City, and Kylian Mbappe from PSG.
The FIFPro award, determined solely by over 28,000 professional footballers, stands as the singular global football honor exclusively decided by players.
Nominees were recognized for their performances from December 19, 2022, to August 20, 2023, with a requirement of having played a minimum of 23 games during that period.
In the women’s category, World Cup champions Aitana Bonmati and Jenni Hermoso have been nominated, alongside Chelsea’s Lauren James and Sam Kerr.
