H.E. Dcn. Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, the Immediate Past Deputy Governor of Delta State, extended his condolences to the Ancient Seimbiri Kingdom for the loss of their revered king, HRM. Pere Charles Ayemi-Botu. Describing the late king as more than a ruler, Otuaro emphasized his role as a beacon of hope and a staunch advocate for the rights and welfare of his people.
Otuaro expressed this statement on his Facebook page on Saturday, grieving the loss of the king.
Part of the statement read, “With a heavy heart, on behalf of my family and political associates, I offer my deepest and sincerest condolences to the people of Ancient Seimbiri Kingdom as they mourn the loss of their beloved king, HRM. Pere Charles Ayemi-botu. His passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of his people and the entire Niger Delta region. Pere Charles Ayemi-Botu was not just a ruler; he was a beacon of hope and a fierce advocate for the rights and welfare of his people.
“His voice reverberated through the land, and he was one of those very few kings who are outspoken and championed the cause of the Niger Delta with unyielding passion and determination. His dedication to social justice and equality was unwavering, making him a true pioneer in the fight for a better future”
Otuaro lamented the profound impact of the king’s wisdom and leadership, emphasizing the void left behind by his departure. He highlighted the crucial absence of the king’s invaluable knowledge and expertise, sorely needed during these challenging times.
“His wisdom, accumulated through years of leadership and life experience, was a source of guidance and wisdom for all who sought his counsel. His departure leaves behind a void that cannot be easily filled”
“The loss of such an influential and outspoken king is deeply felt, for his absence comes at a time when his wealth of knowledge and expertise are desperately needed” he added.
Otuaro extends unwavering support and prayers to the immediate family of the late monarch and the Seimbiri Kingdom during this time of mourning. He honors the remarkable and cherished leader, expressing hopes that his tireless spirit will serve as an inspiration to continue the noble work for the advancement of the Niger-Delta and Nigeria as a whole.
