Hon. Spencer O. Okpoye, the Commissioner representing the Ijaw Ethnic Nationality at the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), expressed heartfelt condolences on behalf of his family, political associates, and the Ijaw Oil producing communities for the loss of HRM Pere Charles Ayemi-botu, a highly revered monarch from Seimbiri Kingdom in Burutu local government area of Delta state.

In his statement he posted on his Facebook page on Monday, he described the departed ruler as an extraordinary leader and highlighted Pere Charles Ayemi-botu’s profound impact on the Seimbiri Kingdom and the wider Ijaw nation. The monarch’s selfless dedication and tireless efforts were acknowledged, lauding his contribution to the growth and prosperity of the region.

According to him “Today, we grieve the loss of an extraordinary leader whose kindness and care touched the Seimbiri Kingdom and the entire Ijaw nation. He dedicated himself to his people, earning admiration as a loving and thoughtful ruler.

“His Majesty’s selfless actions and hard work have made a lasting impact, lifting up Seimbiri Kingdom and benefiting the wider Ijaw communities, fostering growth and prosperity.

Okpoye urged unity and progression, emphasizing the importance of honoring Pere Charles Ayemi-botu’s legacy by upholding his values. He encouraged the people of Seimbiri Kingdom to stand together in this time of grief and continue striving for the betterment and unity of Seimbiri Kingdom and the entire Ijaw nation.

“Let’s stand together in mourning, honouring His Majesty’s legacy by upholding his values and striving for progress and unity in Seimbiri Kingdom and the entire Ijaw nation”, he added.

He extended prayers and thoughts for strength to the royal family, the Seimbiri Kingdom, and all affected by this profound loss.
