President Bola Tinubu has allegedly called for a meeting with the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, at the Presidential Villa. The meeting is scheduled to take place on Tuesday afternoon in Abuja, according to The Nation.
This development follows Tunji-Ojo’s association with the alleged fraudulent activities tied to the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Betta Edu. The Edu-led ministry purportedly granted a consultancy contract worth N438 million to New New Planet Projects Ltd for the National Social Register, with Tunji-Ojo reportedly having ties to the company.
Moreover, Tinubu took action on Monday by suspending Edu due to financial irregularities and mismanagement of public funds.
