The Naira posted its third consecutive gain against the US dollar in the official foreign exchange market on Monday.
According to data from FMDQ, the Naira’s value improved from N869.13 per dollar at the close of business on Friday to N856.57 per dollar on Monday, marking a 1.45% increase or a rise of N12.56 in the local currency.
This marks the third instance of the Naira strengthening against the dollar since last Thursday.
Conversely, in the parallel market on Monday, the Naira experienced a decline, dropping to NN1,245 per US dollar from NN1,255 per dollar recorded on Friday.
