The Lagos police are investigating a petition filed by Nigerian singer and songwriter Tiwa Savage, who has alleged bullying and threats to her life by Grammy nominee David Adeleke, widely known as Davido. This update was shared by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, on Wednesday in Lagos.
”I can confirm that we received the petition. We have begun investigation,” he said.
According to Waffi TV’s report, in a petition dated January 9 addressed to the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Mr. Adegoke Fayoade, Tiwa Savage accused Davido of using disrespectful language in response to a post that featured herself and the singer’s baby mama, Sophia Momodu, on Instagram.
Tiwa Savage detailed how she expressed her disappointment at Davido’s threats and reminded him of her support for his family, particularly during the time he lost his son.
Despite this, she claimed to have received calls from mutual connections inquiring about her actions that might have upset Davido, and questioning her relationship with Sophia.
