The NTA has successfully obtained the exclusive broadcasting rights for the highly anticipated 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), guaranteeing coverage of every moment of the football extravaganza on their network.
This announcement is surprising given that Multichoice, the owners of DSTV and Super Sports, were unable to secure the rights, which they previously held in past years.
The AFCON, also known as TotalEnergies AFCON or simply AFCON/CAN, is Africa’s premier international men’s association football competition.
The 2024 edition will commence on January 13, 2024, and conclude on February 11, 2024, hosted by Cote d’Ivoire. NTA has partnered with Afro Sports in a groundbreaking memorandum of understanding, ensuring the broadcast of all 52 matches of the AFCON tournament.
