Governor Simi Fubara of Rivers State has chosen not to reveal the purpose and results of his Thursday meeting with President Bola Tinubu. He emphasized that the discussion was private after the closed-door meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, where they met earlier in the day.
Despite media inquiries, Governor Fubara refrained from sharing details about the agenda and outcomes, leaving the nature of the discussion undisclosed.
He simply told journalists that “It was a private visit”.
While the purpose of his visit remained undisclosed, it likely revolves around the ongoing political turmoil in Rivers State. Primarily centered on the control of the state’s political framework, this conflict has pitted the governor against his former political mentor and the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike.
