NYSC Enforces “No NIN, No Mobilisation” Rule For Prospective Corps Members

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced that starting from the 2024 mobilisation exercise, eligible prospective corps members must register for mobilisation using their National Identification Numbers (NIN).

This decision was reached during a meeting between NYSC Management, headed by Brigadier General Y.D.

Ahmed, and the National Identification Management Commission (NIMC), led by Director General Abisoye Coker-Odusote, in Abuja. Brig Gen Ahmed emphasized that collaborating with NIMC will enhance the online registration process for NYSC, while NIMC’s Director General, Coker-Odusote, expressed readiness for this partnership, praising NYSC’s mobilisation protocols and its role in shaping corps members for leadership over its 50-year history.

The collaboration aims to streamline the mobilisation process and address various issues, with NIMC having partnered with several government agencies.
