Former Super Eagles coach Samson Siasia has expressed determination to stage a comeback, stronger than ever, once his five-year FIFA ban concludes in August 2024.
The ban, initially a life suspension, was reduced by the Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) following a successful appeal, acknowledging that a lifelong penalty was deemed disproportionate for a first offense committed passively.
Despite the setback, Siasia is resolute about returning to the football scene after facing challenges arising from the ban.
“It’s 2024, it is almost over. So, I just need to build again, to be strong moving forward. I was doing very well as a coach before this ban hit me. But it’s almost over, and I’m coming back bigger and stronger,” he said.
