Jose Peseiro, the head coach of the Super Eagles, emphasized the need for improved goal-scoring efficiency in upcoming matches at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, highlighting that their initial struggles in front of the net led to a draw against Nzalang Nacional.
Peseiro urged his team, expressing the significance of enhancing their finishing skills.
“We deserved to win this game because we created many chances,” he remarked.
“We therefore need to improve on our finishing.”
Under the blistering Abidjan sun, the match took place, and Peseiro acknowledged that the challenging weather conditions posed difficulties for his players.
“It’s not easy to play under these conditions,”added the former Saudi Arabia and Venezuela coach.
“We couldn’t press as we should because of the heat.
“We need to manage our energy.”
