The Joint Admission and Matriculations Board announced that the registration for the 2024/2025 Universal Tertiary Matriculation Examinations will commence today and conclude on February 24, 2024. JAMB has initiated the registration process for prospective candidates nationwide.
Ishaq Oloyede, the JAMB Registrar, assured media executives during a meeting in Lagos State on Sunday that measures are in place to guarantee a seamless exercise.
Oloyede highlighted that the accreditation team for the 2024 UTME’s CBT centres includes Chief External Examiners (VCs/Rectors/Provosts), Technical Advisors, JAMB state coordinators, and JAMB Technical Officers.
As outlined in the presentation to stakeholders, part of the registration process involves candidates creating a profile using the National Identity Number at various Computer-Based Test centers nationwide.
Candidates must also generate their profiles using JAMB USS codes 55019 or 66019, a mandatory step for thumbprinting to conclude the registration.
The registration fee is N3,500, and it is cashless to prevent extortion. JAMB has accredited 747 CBT centers for the 2024 UTME, marking an increase from the 613 centers in 2023. Lagos leads with 80 accredited centers, followed by Ogun with 44 and Oyo with 42. Zamfara has the fewest centers at 6, while Ebonyi and Kebbi each have 8 centers.
