Japan Plane Turns Back After Man Bites Cabin Attendant

A plane headed for the United States operated by All Nippon Airways had to return to Tokyo after an intoxicated passenger, reportedly a 55-year-old American man, bit a cabin attendant mid-flight.

The incident occurred when the passenger, heavily drunk, bit the crew member’s arm, causing mild injuries.

The plane, carrying 159 passengers, turned back over the Pacific to Haneda airport, where the unruly passenger was handed over to the police. The passenger claimed not to remember his behavior during the investigation.

Some social media users humourously likened the incident to the “beginning of a zombie movie,” while others expressed concern about recent aviation troubles in Japan, with four other incidents making headlines in just over two weeks.
