NiMet forecasts nationwide sunshine and haziness from Sunday to Tuesday. The outlook anticipates a sunny and hazy atmosphere in the northern and North Central states, along with moderate dust haze (2km to 5km visibility) in the inland states.
Coastal states can expect early morning mist or fog, along with patches of clouds in a hazy atmosphere during the afternoon and evening hours, as per NiMet’s weather predictions released on Saturday in Abuja.
“For Monday, sunny and hazy atmosphere is expected over the Northern, North Central and the Inland states during the forecast period. Early morning Mist/Fog is expected over the Coastal states.
“Patches of clouds in a hazy atmosphere are anticipated over the coastal states during the afternoon and evening hours,” it said.
NiMet anticipates a mild dust haze in the northern states on Tuesday. The agency predicts a sunny and hazy atmosphere for the North Central and Inland states during the forecast period. Over the coastal states, NiMet forecasts patches of clouds within a hazy atmosphere throughout the entire forecast period.
“Dust particles are in suspension, the public should take necessary precautions. People with Asthma and other respiratory issues should be cautious of the present weather situation.
“Airline operators are advised to get updated with weather reports from NiMet for effective planning
in their operations.
