Guinea-Bissau’s winger, Carlos Mane, has declared that the Super Eagles will face a tough challenge in their last group match of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
Mane acknowledged that the Djurtus are determined to secure their inaugural AFCON victory when they clash with the Super Eagles on Monday.
“It’s true that we are yet to win a game at the AFCON since we started participating in 2017,” Mane, who plays for Turkish club Kayserispor, said in a press conference in Abidjan.
“It will be great to get our first win in the AFCON against a big country like Nigeria.
“We are ready for this game. It’s going to be difficult to beat Nigeria, but we will play for our country and our family. We will surely make things difficult for them.”
The match between Guinea-Bissau and Nigeria is scheduled for 6 pm Nigerian time and will take place at the Felix Houphouet-Boigny Stadium in Abidjan.
