Ademola Lookman secured both goals in Nigeria’s 2-0 victory over longtime rivals Cameroon on Saturday, propelling them into the Africa Cup of Nations quarter-finals.
Despite an early disallowed goal by Semi Ajayi and a resilient Cameroon defense, Lookman found the net in the 36th minute, and he sealed the win in the 90th minute. The Super Eagles, led by the formidable Victor Osimhen, are now set to face Angola in the quarter-finals. With Osimhen’s leadership, Nigeria poses a serious threat to reigning champions Senegal in their pursuit of a fourth continental crown.
