The Federal Government is preparing to establish a 37-member Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage, tasked with proposing a new minimum wage for the country.
The committee’s formation has been approved by President Bola Tinubu, as stated in a release by Segun Imohiosen on behalf of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
The inauguration is set to take place on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at 12 noon in the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, State House, Abuja. The committee, led by former Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Bukar Aji, comprises representatives from the Federal Government, State Government, Private Sector, and Organised Labour.
