H.E. Dcn. Kingsley B. Otuaro, Esq., the Immediate Past Deputy Governor of Delta State, in a heartfelt tribute, expressed profound sorrow over the demise of Asagba of Asaba, Obi Prof. Joseph Chike Edozien, CFR.
According to Otuaro, The passing of the monarch marks a great loss not only for the Asaba kingdom but for the entire nation.
Otuaro while reflecting on his personal interactions with Prof. Edozien during his tenure as Deputy Governor, recalls their shared moments, hailing them as some of his most cherished experiences in office.
He said, “As a former deputy Governor of Delta State, I had cause to interact with him on different occasions and I can conviniently say, those times I had with him where some of my best time as deputy governor.
Otuaro in offering solace to the grieving royal family and the people of Asaba, invokes divine strength, praying for the fortitude to endure this trying time.
“His death is a big blow not only for the Asaba kingdom but for the whole country.
“I want to use this medium to condole the royal family and the people of Asaba to take heart and I pray to God almighty to give them the fortitude to bear his passing.
“May his gentle soul rest in peace for all eternity, and let us endeavor to carry on his distinguished legacy”, he added.
