Today marks the final day of the traditional wake-keep for the late High Chief Johnny Aribogha, JP, as announced by Chief Joel Ogbona, Chairman of the burial committee.
The event, which features the symbolic canopy dropping ceremony, is set to take place at the Aribogha family home in Plantation City Estate, Opete, Otokutu, from 11 am to 7 pm. Music will be supplied by Chief Kingsley Takemebo.
High Chief Aribogha, a revered Ijaw leader, passed away on Friday, February 16th, 2024. The closing ceremonies promise to be a day filled with tributes and fond remembrances, as friends and well-wishers gather to honour his impactful legacy.
Friends and well wishers are invited to join in paying their respects and celebrating the life of a man whose contributions have left an indelible mark. The absence of High Chief Johnny Aribogha will be deeply felt.
