The president of the Ijaw Publishers Forum (IPF) and his delegation visited Chief Sylvester Oromoni, the Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor, at his Warri residence on Sunday, February 25th, 2024. Their purpose was to extend an official invitation to Chief Oromoni for the forthcoming inauguration of the IPF Council.
Accompanying the IPF president, Comr. Ozobo Austin, were Mr. Onyinbi Onduku, the Vice President-elect, Mr. Tare Magbei, the Secretary-elect, Hon. Tamsokunbiri Mmd of Kpakam TV, Dr. Peres Clinton of Iduwini Voice, Mr. Preye Ekpegha of South-South Daily, and others.
During the visit, the IPF expressed gratitude to Chief Oromoni for his steadfast support of the Ijaw people during the Warri Crisis and for his contributions to the advancement of the Ijaw community in both private and political spheres.
In response, Chief Oromoni commended the IPF for their efforts and advised them to maintain objectivity in their reporting and to conduct themselves in a manner that promotes the interests of the Ijaw Nation and the Niger Delta region.
Furthermore, Chief Oromoni confirmed his attendance at the inauguration ceremony scheduled for Thursday, February 29, 2024.
