Mohbad’s Death: I Know A Lot But Can’t Say The Truth- Wife Laments

Omowunmi Aloba, the widow of the late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, also known as Mohbad, has once again expressed distress, stating that she possesses significant information regarding her husband’s death. However, she feels incapacitated as those purportedly responsible for her husband’s death are obstructing her attempts to disclose the truth.

Referred to as Wunmi, she disclosed to SaharaReporters that individuals she identifies as influential figures in the music industry, whom she accuses of being her husband’s killers, are relentlessly pursuing her and her son Liam, mirroring the fate of her late husband.

Wunmi alleges that her husband’s assailants tarnished his reputation by spreading false rumors of drug addiction, systematically damaging him mentally, psychologically, and physically, thus instilling a paralyzing fear in him that prevented him from speaking out.

She recounts instances where Mohbad was publicly humiliated and made to feel inferior, ultimately living in perpetual fear. Even when urged to speak out against his attackers, he felt powerless against the industry figures’ sway.

According to Wunmi, Mohbad’s fear was so intense that he avoided seeking medical assistance after sustaining injuries, fearing manipulation within the healthcare system and potential harm from bribed doctors.

Wunmi said, “They silenced my husband by spreading rumours that he was on drugs, and now they have been targeting me by releasing a voice note I recorded a few years ago for medical purposes. They are attacking our only child by labelling him as illegitimate.

“My husband was messed up mentally, psychologically and physically. If he had continued speaking publicly about his challenges, perhaps he would still be alive today.

“I wish he had summoned the courage to come public as many times as he could, but he didn’t want anyone to see his vulnerability; he was a gentle and calm soul.

“Making a man feel inferior, making him live in fear, assaulting him publicly, amongst others is what they subjected my husband to. The last time they attacked him, I begged him to speak out, but he felt powerless against the influence of the industry gods.

“Mohbad would have sought medical treatment after his injury if he didn’t live in constant fear. He avoided hospitals because he believed the medical system could be compromised, and doctors bribed to harm him.

“I know a lot, but they won’t allow me to speak my truth. Your favourite fake activists and bloggers can continue defaming me, but I pray God rewards them for their actions. If they eventually kill me too, like they did Mohbad, just know I said it. It may not be direct! So many things have happened since I lost my husband, yet I can’t speak.

“I am helpless, but I know God will see me through this. I want the whole world to know that I tried to speak up, just as my husband always wanted to, but they bullied him into silence as they are currently doing to me.”
