Lagos Commissioner Of Police Joins NLC Nationwide Protests Over Hardship

The ongoing two-day massive protest in Lagos State over the country’s economic woes sees the participation of Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Adegoke Fayoade, alongside his team. They were spotted marching with thousands of residents along Awolowo Way, Ikeja.

The protest, initiated by the Nigerian Labour Congress and other concerned citizens, has spread across the country. Demonstrators in large numbers took to the streets of Lagos State and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, demanding urgent action from the Bola Tinubu-led Nigerian Government to alleviate citizens’ hardships.

They also express grievances over the government’s alleged failure to fulfill agreements made on October 2, 2023, following the removal of the fuel subsidy, following a 14-day ultimatum issued to the Federal Government.
