Don Single Nwuzo, manager of the renowned comic actor Mr Ibu, has verified that the actor passed away on Saturday evening following a cardiac arrest. Reports indicate that Mr Ibu, aged 62, was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Evercare Hospital in Lekki a few days ago after experiencing a relapse and was rushed to the hospital about a week ago. Last year, Mr. Ibu underwent surgery to amputate one of his legs.
His passing has prompted an outpouring of tributes from colleagues and fans, acknowledging his comedic talents showcased in films like “A Fool at Forty” and “Issakaba,” where he garnered numerous nominations and awards.
His death comes shortly after the passing of his colleague Tolani Quadri Oyebamiji, also known as Sisi Quadri, who was laid to rest on Saturday in Iwo, Osun State, following her demise on Friday.
