Comrade Mulade Sheriff, a peace and development advocate from Delta State, has strongly condemned the brutal killing of soldiers who were reportedly on a peace mission in Okuama, a Delta community, over a dispute with its neighbor, Okoloba.
The renowned peace and environmental rights activist expressed condolences to the Nigerian Army over these tragic deaths and appealed to the feuding Okuama and Okoloba communities to halt hostilities. He also called on the Military high command and the Delta state government to launch an inquiry and bring the perpetrators of this cowardly act to justice.
Mulade emphasized the need for the warring groups to embrace peace for the development and growth of Okuama/Okoloba, emphasizing that they share the same roots. He cautioned against being manipulated by warmongers and urged them to reject any attempts to sow discord.
As an Ijaw leader, Mulade reiterated his appeal to the brothers and sisters of Okuama and Okoloba, with their intertwined history, to seek peace. He emphasized that peace is essential for the economic growth of Delta State, as it is necessary to attract investors and create employment opportunities for the youth.
