Nigerian music star Davido, born David Adedeji Adeleke, has reached an agreement to settle a breach of contract lawsuit filed against him by Brownhill Investment Company Limited, led by the former President of the Nigerian Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick, in the High Court of Delta State, Effurun.
Davido will resolve the dispute outside of court and has agreed to pay N30 million within seven days towards the claimant’s legal fees. This follows a suit where the claimant sought N2 billion in damages, including legal fees and the cost of filing the suit.
The lawsuit named Davido and his music label, Davido Music Worldwide Limited, as defendants. As part of the settlement, both parties will perform at the “Warri Again Concert” edition on October 4, 2024, with a portion of the $94,500 previously paid by the claimant to the defendants going towards the event.
