  • He expressed gratitude to the Church leadership for presenting a copy of the holy Bible to him.

Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, assured the residents of Udu Local Government Area that the Udu Harbour market would be finished during his current term in office.

He made this commitment during the wedding ceremony of Nancy and Aduomayebe Adums Aghogho at the Church of God Mission (Potters House), Orhuwhorun Road, Udu Local Government Area. Governor Oborevwori emphasized his dedication to completing ongoing projects from the previous administration across the state, ensuring that every part benefits from his MORE Agenda for Deltans.

He expressed gratitude to the Church leadership for presenting a copy of the holy Bible to him and his wife, highlighting its significance in sustaining his family. Additionally, he congratulated Mr. and Mrs. Aduomayebe Adums Aghogho on their marriage, encouraging them to nurture their love and remain committed to their union through prayer.

“The Udu market will be completed in my first tenure by the grace of God because the market is very key to women in this area.

“The words of God in this Holy Bible has sustained me and l believe that God has been with us as a state,” the governor said.

During his sermon, Revd. Michael Ogbeh, the National Presbyter of Orhuwhorun Province, emphasized that marriage is a divine covenant established by God, distinct from mere partnership.

He explained that this covenant, concerning marriage, has both horizontal and vertical dimensions. According to Revd. Ogbeh, God established marriage as a covenant for companionship, procreation, and redemption, with God Himself serving as a witness to this covenant.

The marriage ceremony of Nancy and Aghogho was officiated by Revd. Prof. Jonathan Idialu, the Zonal Coordinator of Warri Zone 3 of the Church of God Mission, Udu Province. The ceremony, attended by various government officials including the wife of the state governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, culminated in the couple signing the marriage register after being pronounced husband and wife by Revd. Prof. Idialu.
