IPF Commends Kestin Pondi For Granting 35 Ijaw Students Scholarships

The Ijaw Publishers’ Forum, IPF, praised Chief Kestin Pondi, Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Limited, for granting scholarships to 35 deserving Ijaw individuals, including accommodation, to study the Ijaw language at the College of Education, Warri, Delta State, Nigeria.

Comrade Ozobo Austin, president of IPF, commended Pondi’s dedication to preserving the Ijaw language and fostering development in their communities during a media address over the weekend. He emphasized that Pondi’s gesture showcased his love for his people and his commitment to humanity.

Ozobo highlighted Pondi’s benevolent, charismatic, and transformative leadership, emphasizing that the scholarships provided to the 35 Ijaw individuals would play a significant role in safeguarding the Ijaw dialect for future generations.

The group expressed disappointment with some Ijaw political office holders who, driven by sentiment and greed, denied their youth opportunities despite available government resources.

He said, “l commend Chief Kestin Pondi for his continuous and selfless charitable and philanthropical services to humanity. He has written his name in gold in the Guinness Book of records. I cherish his courage and drive for sustaining it. We need more of Pondi’s benevolent and selfless sacrifices to transform and advance our youth and communities.

They encouraged Ijaw political office holders to follow Pondi’s example by utilizing their positions to mentor youth and women, as well as to foster significant development within their communities, rather than shutting doors on their own people.
