According to reports on Wednesday, officials from the anti-graft agency surrounded the former governor’s residence in Abuja.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has officially announced on its Facebook page that Yahaya Bello, the former governor of Kogi State, is now wanted for his involvement in economic and financial crimes.
“Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, is wanted by the EFCC for offences relating to economic and financial crimes to the tune of N80.2 billion.
“Anybody with information as to his whereabout should report immediately to the commission or the nearest police station,” the EFCC said.
According to reports on Wednesday, officials from the anti-graft agency surrounded the former governor’s residence in Abuja in an attempt to apprehend him. However, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo arrived with his security personnel and managed to evacuate him from the EFCC’s reach.
