Delta State has revived the Service Compact, SERVICOM, originally established in 2008 via an executive order by a previous governor. Governor Sheriff Oborevwori mandated its reintroduction, emphasizing its crucial role in advancing his MORE agenda.
Funkekeme Solomon, his Senior Policy Adviser, has initiated the reinstatement process across all Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs). Solomon conveyed Oborevwori’s call for civil servants to uphold values such as diligence, timeliness, transparency, and accountability in their service delivery.

He said: “Service is only meaningful when delivered with passion, respect and responsibility. All MDAs are required to compile a charter of their functions and responsibilities and post through public notices at the entrance to their offices.
“The idea is that the public should know where they can obtain the services they desire without having to seek such in the wrong offices.
“All commissioners and heads of agencies should ensure that policies and resource proposals presented for approval to the State Executive Council are based on evidence of the needs of the population.”
