Iran’s Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir-Abdullahi, stated that the initial strike on Israel served as a cautionary message. Amir-Abdullahi emphasized Iran’s capability to potentially target key Israeli cities such as Tel Aviv, Haifa, and its vital ports.

Speaking with NBC News’ Tom Llamas during the United Nations Security Council meeting in the US on Friday, he underscored that Iran’s response would be contingent upon Israel initiating a substantial attack.

He said: “We could have hit Haifa and Tel Aviv.

“We could have also targeted all the economic ports of Israel.

“But our red lines were civilians.

“We only had a military purpose.

“As long as there is no new adventurism by Israel against our interests, then we are not going to have any new reactions.

“If Israel takes decisive action against my country, this is proven to us.

“Our response will be immediate and to the maximum and will cause them to regret it.”

He also compared the weapons employed in the assault on his nation to playthings for children. Amir-abdollahian’s statement emerges amidst allegations of Israel conducting a counterattack on Iran.

Over the weekend, Iran launched a wave of drones and missiles towards Israel in response to the April 1 strike in Damascus, Syria, which claimed the lives of several of its commanders. Nonetheless, the Iranian Foreign Minister refrained from confirming Israel’s involvement in the recent assault on Iran.

“What happened last night was not a strike.

“They were more like toys that our children play with – not drones,” he said.
