The Inspector General of Police, Mr. Kayode Egbetokun, suggested during the National Dialogue on State Policing that merging the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) with the police would enhance effectiveness.
He emphasized the need for such a merger due to the challenges faced by the police, including inadequate training, manpower, and infrastructure issues like dilapidated barracks.
