The Nigerian film industry is once again grieving following the announcement on Tuesday via social media of the passing of veteran Nollywood actor Zulu Adigwe.
The news of Adigwe’s death was shared by movie producer Stanley Nwoko on his Instagram page.
Mourning the actor, Nwoko wrote, “Rest in peace, good actor.”
Adigwe’s passing comes just two weeks after the tragic boat accident in Anam River that claimed the lives of Junior Pope and three other Nollywood actors. The group was reportedly en route to a filming location when the accident occurred.

Adigwe was widely known for his portrayal of paternal figures in Nollywood productions. His breakthrough role was as Mr. B in the beloved sitcom “Basi and Company.” Additionally, he featured in the highly successful 2019 film “Living in Bondage: Breaking Free.”
Although originally from Enugu State and spending his formative years there, he later relocated to Austria, where he completed his primary and secondary education.
