He emphasized that the Federal government’s new policy aims to rejuvenate the power sector, assuring that the difficulties faced would be temporary.
This clarification follows the recent tariff hike by the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission, NERC, causing concerns among electricity consumers. Additionally, the minister mentioned that the Federal Government would allocate N2.9 trillion to subsidize electricity this year if the tariff remained unchanged, underlining the government’s commitment to rescue the power sector.
