Chief Dennis Otuaro, the Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, has reiterated his dedication to upholding peace, security, and development in the Niger Delta, aligning with President Bola Tinubu’s vision.
Meanwhile, during his visit to Igbinedion University and Benson Idahosa University in Edo State, he engaged with the management and students regarding the PAP scholarship program.
According to a statement by Mr. Igoniko Oduma, the Special Assistant on Media to the PAP Administrator, Otuaro emphasized his commitment to effectively implementing the amnesty programme to foster confidence in the region and garner support for the Federal Government.
Additionally, Prof. Lawrence Ezemonye, the Vice Chancellor of Igbinedion University, noted that 26 PAP scholarship students at the institution achieved first-class honors.
He said, “The Presidential Amnesty Programme is crucial to foster enduring peace in the Niger Delta.
“By implementing it efficiently and effectively, we can garner greater support for the Federal Government’s efforts to promote security and development in the Niger Delta.
“That is the vision of President Bola Tinubu which I seek to execute. He believes in sustaining the peace of the Niger Delta.
“With the president’s belief in the Presidential Amnesty Programme, we need to work harder to ensure that the confidence reposed in us is strengthened.”
Otuaro recognized Igbinedion University as the inaugural tertiary institution to welcome PAP scholarship students, underscoring that their alumni contributed to the program’s achievements.
He also emphasized the intention of the program office to enhance cooperation with its collaborators to broaden its impact. Furthermore, he commended Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, the founder of Igbinedion University, and the university’s administration on commemorating its 25th anniversary this year.
