The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has warned of a potential nationwide strike due to the absence of governing councils in all federal universities, among other unresolved issues with the Federal Government.
ASUU President, Prof. Emmanuel Osodeke, delivered the ultimatum during a press conference at the union’s national secretariat in Abuja.
ASUU highlighted the dissolution of university governing councils by the Federal Government in May of the previous year and urged Nigerians to recognize the government’s accountability for any resulting actions taken by the union.
