FG Approves N37.2bn For Court Of Appeal Building, N12.5bn For 200 SUVs For Customs

The federal government has approved N37.2 billion for the construction of the Court of Appeal (Abuja Division) building and N12.5 billion for the procurement of 200 Toyota Land Cruiser Buffalo V6 vehicles for the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS).

This decision was made during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting held in Abuja on Monday and Tuesday.

Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, highlighted that the approval aligns with FEC’s commitment to advancing policies and initiatives aimed at enhancing the economy, attracting investments, and facilitating business operations in the nation.

Onanuga said the “Council approved a contract for the building of the Court of Appeal Abuja Division at a cost of N37.2 billion. Project will be executed by Messrs Visible Construction Limited.

“Council approved the request by Nigeria Customs Service to buy 200 Toyota Land Cruiser Buffalo V6 at a cost of N12.5 billion.

“All the vehicles will be CNG powered. Government also approved insurance cover for the vehicles at a cost of N522 million. The cover will be provided by NEM.”
