Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State announced that his administration has achieved significant progress in infrastructure since taking office a year ago.
Fubara claimed that his administration has outperformed his predecessor, Nyesom Wike, in project execution over Wike’s eight-year tenure.
The governor made these remarks in Ngo Town during the inauguration of the Andoni section of the Ogoni-Andoni-Opobo Unity Road project in Andoni Local Government Area on Saturday.
He pledged to undertake more infrastructural projects during his term.
According to Fubara: “Like I said the other day, we just started. We started about three or four months ago but I am very happy that if we have to assess ourselves within those three months, we have done better than people who stayed for eight years, I stand to be challenged.”
Recall that Fubara and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory have been in conflict since shortly after taking office.
Last week, the governor boasted about defeating his political adversaries, emphasizing that they now slept with their eyes open and were restless.
