The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Burutu Local Government Area today officially unveiled Julius Takeme as their candidate for the upcoming local government elections. The ceremony, held at the Burutu Civic Center, drew key party officials, community leaders, and a large crowd of enthusiastic supporters.
The event began with an opening address by PDP Local Government Chairman, Chief Edward Ogodo, who commended Takeme’s dedication and long-standing service to the community. Chief Ogodo emphasised Takeme’s extensive experience in local governance and his steadfast commitment to Burutu’s development.
“Julius Takeme has been a pillar of our community for many years. His leadership and vision have significantly contributed to the progress we see today in our local government area,” said Chief Ogodo. “We are confident that under his guidance, Burutu will continue to thrive and achieve even greater heights.”
In his acceptance speech, Julius Takeme expressed profound gratitude to the PDP and the people of Burutu for their trust and support. He promised to prioritize development projects, enhance local infrastructure, and ensure the welfare of all residents.
