High Chief (Dr.) Dennis Burutu Otuaro, Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, has reaffirmed his commitment to reshaping the programme to better serve its intended purpose.
Speaking at a stakeholders meeting with 3rd phase generals on Monday in Warri, Otuaro emphasised the importance of including more critical stakeholders in the Niger Delta.
Highlighting his administration’s focus, Otuaro underscored the need for cooperation and support from ex-agitators to ensure the success of his initiatives.
He assured that his tenure would prioritise aid to impacted communities, particularly victims of military actions, widows of fallen heroes, and innocent individuals who have been injured and disabled.
The session culminated in a strong ‘Vote of Confidence’ from the ex-agitators, signaling robust support for Dr. Otuaro’s vision for peace and progress in the Niger Delta.
