Delta Launches 2023/2024 Bursary Registration For Students

It advised applicants to download and print the online acknowledgment card for personal records.

In a bid to support education and alleviate financial burdens, the Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board, under the leadership of Ambassador Shedrack Agediga, has announced the commencement of the online bursary registration for the 2023/2024 Students Special Assistance Scheme (SSAS).

According to a statement released by the Executive Secretary, Delta State Bursary and Scholarship Board, Dr. Godfrey Enita, the initiative, aimed at students of Delta State origin, is now open for applications.

Application Criteria:

  • Must be of Delta State origin
  • Must possess a National Identification Number (NIN)
  • Must be a registered full-time student at a government-approved private or public tertiary institution (excluding PGD, Masters, and PhD students)
  • Must have a CGPA of 2.20 or above from the previous academic year
  • Must be in the second year (200 level and above) at universities, ND II and HND in polytechnics/monotechnics, or NCE II-III in colleges of education
  • Must have an account with a CBN-approved commercial bank

The statement added that eligible students can apply by logging onto www.dsbsb.di.gov.ng, clicking on “APPLY NOW,” and submitting the bursary form. Also a non-refundable fee of N800.00 is required for online processing using a debit card.

It advised applicants to download and print the online acknowledgment card for personal records.

According to the statement, the registration portal will be open for four weeks, from Monday, July 1, 2024, to Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
