Hon. Spencer Okpoye, the commissioner representing the Ijaw ethnic nationality on the Board of DESOPADEC, has extended his congratulations to Mr. Festus Ashima, the newly sworn-in chairman of Warri North Local Government Area.
In a statement shared with Waffi TV today, Okpoye expressed his gratitude to the people of Warri North for turning out in large numbers to vote for Ashima. He confidently stated his belief that the new chairman will fulfill his promises.
The statement reads, “I congratulate you on the successful swearing-in ceremony today. It’s indeed a wonderful day.
“Let me use this opportunity to thank the people of Warri North for coming out in mass to support and vote for you. Their faith and confidence in your leadership have been clearly demonstrated through their overwhelming support at the polls.
“I’m very sure you will deliver on what you have promised the people. Your commitment to the development and progress of Warri North is evident, and I have no doubt that your tenure will bring about positive changes that will benefit the entire local government.”
