The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) has issued a strong warning to the Federal Government against undermining local industries. Segun Ajayi-Kadir, the Director General of MAN, emphasized the importance of government agencies fostering a supportive business environment for local investments to prosper.
Ajayi-Kadir advised caution from key players, government agencies, and regulators in the oil and gas sector regarding the Federal Government-Dangote Refinery dispute. He stressed that regulatory bodies should not tarnish the reputation of domestic investments like the Dangote Refinery.
He argued that allegations of poor quality and monopolistic practices against the Dangote Refinery by the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA) were unfounded.

Ajayi-Kadir highlighted the crucial role local investors, particularly Dangote Industries Limited (DIL), play in economic growth, tax contributions, job creation, and national development. He asserted that such investors need protection and support to thrive in the current business environment.
Ajayi-Kadir also stated that a business magnate like Alhaji Aliko Dangote, with investments across various sectors and throughout Africa, should receive all necessary support to expand further and enhance the well-being of the populace.
