The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, to appear before a disciplinary committee over accusations of anti-party activities.
The PDP’s Deputy National Publicity Secretary, Ibrahim Abdullahi, revealed this during an interview with Channels TV on Monday.
He stated that the disciplinary committee has sent a letter to Wike, inviting him to answer for his recent remarks about the party. Abdullahi added that Wike’s statement about “putting fire in their states” regarding PDP governors is considered unacceptable.
According to him, “Wike should be able to manage his words carefully; that was a very disappointing remark. We weren’t expecting him to say that, and we are not with him on that, to be honest with you.”
This follows just hours after Wike expressed his satisfaction with serving under President Bola Tinubu, despite the criticism and speculation surrounding his appointment.
The FCT minister boldly stated that anyone upset with his role in Tinubu’s administration should “go and hug a transformer.”
